Fixed CPD Targets - Ability to set Period Start Date on Assignment

We have introduced the ability to amend the period for fixed CPD targets. The period must still be 12 months, but the start date can now be configured per CPD target assignment. There is a new configuration option in the CPD Configuration page to toggle on whether the CPD Start Date can be changed on assignment. This is located under CPD > Manage CPD targets > Configuration

This is off by default. When this configuration is changed and the toggle is on for allowing the CPD period start date to be set on assignment, we should see the option to select the period start date when we go to assign the CPD target to an individual/group of individuals.

The configuration will only apply to Fixed 12 Month Targets, Rolling targets are unaffected by this change.

In the CPD Target summary page, the fixed target will display the default 12 month period specified on assignment.

However, when you assign the target, the period can be edited if required and the date can be amended:

Once the individual is selected, the target period can be set:

This will then apply to the CPD target upon assignment for that individual:

This enhancement was developed to allow more flexibility and accommodate different CPD renewal dates and schedules throughout a business.
