Limiting CPD by Development Category

We have introduced a new option against CPD Targets to allow CPD logging to be limited by Development Category. We had previously added an Activity Count limit, which this has now replaced.

When configuring a CPD Target you will see the option Development Category Limits in the lower right.

Clicking the + icon will allow you to assign one or more Development Categories to limit. Once you select a Development Category you will see two toggleable options:

Restrict Hours For Period
This option allows you to set total Hours and Minutes of CPD from the selected Development Category that should be counted towards the target.

For example, Online Learning could be restricted to 5 hours in total. This would mean only the first 5 hours of CPD from Online Learning development categories would be counted towards the target, the individual would be able to log more, but it would not be counted in the total hours against the target.

Restrict Total For Period

This option allows you to set a limit on the amount of CPD from a development category.

For example you may wish to only allow 5 Online Learning CPD activities to be counted towards the CPD target.

These toggles can be used together or independently to allow you to flexibly set limits against CPD targets and multiple development categories can be configured this way.
