Events Overview
An overview on the Events functionality in PRM

Events are a key feature within PRM, enabling individuals to achieve specific goals or milestones. Each event has a status, such as "Active," indicating its current state. To be eligible for an event, individuals must first meet certain predefined conditions. Only after fulfilling these requirements can they be awarded the event.

There are various statuses associated with events, reflecting different stages or outcomes, such as:

  • Active
  • Pending
  • Ended
  • Cancelled
  • Expired
  • Flagged For Review

A good example for an event are Competency Stages, where an individual may need to progress through Stage 1, Stage 2 and then finally to Competent Adviser Status (CAS). Each of these stages can be created as an event and then can be grouped together into a Journey.

Rules for Awarding and Revoking

Each event can have a set of rules, with each rule having a rule outcome:

  • Award
  • Add To Working Towards
  • Remove From Working Towards
  • Flag For Review
  • Reactivate
  • End

And each of these outcomes have a rule action:

  • Automatic
  • Recommended

Rule Conditions

When creating a new rule there are conditions that an individual will need to meet to be applicable and to be awarded the event.

Conditions for Applicability of Rule

This condition filters the people that can be applicable to the rule and can be as simple as "Is Anyone". In many cases the rules will be created per job role, with the condition being that the individual is in Job Role. Multiple applicability conditions can be created per rule.

Conditions for Award

Conditions for award can include a list of items that the individual must fulfill before being awarded the event, and this will be either as a Recommendation or Automatically, based on the Rule Outcome selected.
